Hello. I’m Luke. I make sculptures out of metal. Most of the metal I use has had a previous life. Knives, forks, spoons, screws, drills, car parts or any mild steel. If you look at any of my sculptures carefully you can probably spot them. I love integrating what most people throw away into the sculptures.

Mild steel is dull, numb and lifeless, like a dead planet waiting to be brought to life.
From a youthful bloom of drawings and paintings, onwards through art and crafts at college, then focussing my direction towards 3D mediums at university gave me a good base in my creative life.
After a 10 year dry spell in my artistic journey I began working as a steel fixers labourer. This is where my passion for creative metal work began.
Reconnecting with my internal world and nurturing it back to a lively, colourful state, in sync with the new found knowledge and appreciation for the possibilities this material has to offer.
More so lately I have enjoyed integrating wood and stone into my work. Who knows what the future holds, it is limitless after all
